Mille Fleur Cochin Bantam
Sweet enough to hold, but protective of his ladies.
the chicken chapter
From a Vallejo apartment to a backyard flock, by way of one hen who needed somewhere to go. Six birds now, and I know all of their opinions.

Lola came into my life in early 2020, when I was living in a Vallejo apartment.
Barry and Daisy joined the flock, but Lola didn’t quite fit. A chicken swap changed everything.
Daughters, broody hens, a few surprises, and one rooster nobody ordered. The number on the sign keeps climbing.
How it started versus how it looks now: the build, the feed and water setup, and the routines that keep it running.
The current crew, the former crew, and the ones who will forever be part of it.

Six birds, six very distinct opinions about how things should go.
